This position is created to receive, coordinate, and resolve all claims related to shipments issues for HWL USA.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Review and respond claims questions from internal and external contacts.Enter claims into the Claims Excel Spreadsheet and update status on a daily basis.Follow up on claims that require reimbursement from carriers.Provide support to USA HWL Offices in regard to claim process.Assist when needed as a contact between branches/customers and insurance company for any claim received.Provide a monthly report on the status of the open claims in the Claims Excel Spreadsheet.Process payments for Claims liable by HWL.Additional tasks as assigned by the Team LeaderSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not supervise any direct reports.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma1 to 3 years of previous experience in freight forwarding industry preferredCompletion of any industry related course is a plusExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English and SpanishExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailProficient with Microsoft OfficeKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTESSelf-confident, creative, innovativeCan work at all levels of the organization Can make something complex easy to understand Can move from strategic to detailed focus easily Willing to help; looks for solutions; coaches others in finding their own solutionsValues each person no matter their position, empatheticTeam oriented.
