**The Opportunity**
This position works out of our Costa Rica - Alajueal location in the Electrophysiology Division. In Abbott's Electrophysiology (EP) business, we're advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
As the Calibration Techician II, you will perform electrical, dimensional and physical calibrations on all ABBOTT measurement and process control equipment. Schedule, pick up and deliver equipment to internal users and document actions on an equipment control data base. Perform troubleshooting on all equipment types to the board level. Review documentation, checklists and manuals for accuracy and completeness.
**What You'll Do**
Equipment calibrations:
- Perform multi-discipline calibrations
Documentation:
- Identify safety issues related to calibration procedures
Repair:
- Research repair situations and determine action steps
Administrative:
- Support root cause analysis on Out-of-Tolerance equipment and assigned corrective actions as needed
- ** Shift B - Onsite**
**Required Qualifications**
- High School degree andTechnical degree required in electricity, mechanics, chemistry,
electronics, industrial engineering, electromechanical or other related technical fields,0 to 2+ years of working experience on similar roles.
- Intermediate Command of English.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in calibration and test methods on equipment and instrument calibration.
- Prior medical device experience.
- Training in Calibration (courses).
- Knowledge of ISO 17025.
