**Main Purpose of Job**: (Brief Summary)
- Under laboratory coordinator's direction, will perform technician limited duties associated with calibration and calibration area quality assurance support.

Main Job Duties/Responsibilities (List most important first)
- Ensure that equipment specifications are interpreted correctly
- Carefully analyze and interpret the results of calibrations trials, using routine and specialized calculations under specific instructions and with detailed review
- Review and approve calibration reports of equipment calibrated by Category Calibration Technician 1
- Quote calibrations with calibration suppliers, ensuring that the supplier is able to maintain the calibration requirements and the required quality.
- Create purchase orders for the calibration area (service orders and equipment purchases) and follow up appropriately.
- Participate in the improvement and/or cost reduction projects in the calibration area.
- Participate in audits (defense) directly related to the calibration area.
- Actively participate in the 6's program of the calibration area.
- Provide support and/or technical training to other technicians.
- Provide support to the Laboratory Coordinator in the creation of new procedures or improve existing ones.
- Provide support to the Laboratory Coordinator in any required tasks as needed.

Knowledge / Education
- Minimum education required to perform duties: Metrology, Electronics or any related field Technician or combination to training and experience.
- Basic
- intermediate knowledge of English language reading comprehension
- Basic Knowledge of calibration software(Desirable)
- Student of any Engineering. (Desirable)
- Knowledge ISO 13485. (Desirable)
- Knowledge ISO 17025 and ISO 10012. (Desirable)
- Knowledge of CRF 820 CGMPs. (Desirable)

Job Experience
- 3-5 years of working experience as minimum in calibrations environment.
- Problem Solving: Basic understanding of problem solving methodology.
- Metrology: knowledge of measurement and error theory, and measuring instruments and equipment.
- Must be able to read and understand specifications. Proficient in the interpretation of technical drawings and equipment specification.
- Experience in a Medical Device, Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry (desirable).
- Experience in Customer Focused Quality and/or Business Process Improvement (desirable).
