You will have the opportunity to discuss details in the interview.   About the role: The Production Planner is responsible for scheduling production for medical devices under development or commercial units. Furthermore, they will lead the maintenance of appropriate levels of subassemblies and finished goods to support inventory targets prior to handover to sustaining team and work in coordination with Buyers or engineers to ensure the appropriate level of raw material required. They will also work in close collaboration with Operations groups to ensure Supply Chain requirements are met throughout the product development cycle or commercial demand.   Your Responsibilities Include: (Combining Production Planner + NPI activities) Assist in the daily, weekly, and monthly production planning processes for assigned production lines to ensure goals of service level and backorder. Assist in the development and update of a master schedule that satisfies customer demand, maintains stability in terms of material and capacity requirements and minimizes RAW, WIP, and Finished Goods inventory levels utilizing MRP firm planned order concepts and lean tools (i.e. kanban, pull systems, etc.). Interact with Global Supply Chain to validate MRP requirements accuracy. Facilitate manufacturing handshake during the monthly Committed Build Plan process. Provide material availability (and supplier commitment where applicable) information to the Production Management Team and available to promise to Global Supply Chain. Responsible for schedule/sequencing accuracy/prioritization and for monitoring delivery performance and schedule/sequencing adherence. Support weekly service level attainment meetings to proactively anticipate supply risks, initiate actions to prevent backorders, and communicate supply availability information to Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain and Operations management. Develop and maintain metric reports for key performance parameters including inventory analysis, schedule adherence, service level, and financial impact statements. Manage the development and communication of recovery plans on backorders and outages as required, implementing corrective actions to minimize future occurrences. Develop scenarios, analytical data models to understand or report on capacity, production trends, schedule adherence, production linearity, market level, etc. as needed. Maintain kanban (size, qty), yield, cycle time and master data in SAP as required to support the manufacturing process and provide information for budgeting, capacity, and planning processes. Assist development teams to ensure successful achievement of new product schedules by fulfilling Materials' PLCP/PDP deliverables. Analyze planning processes and problems and lead continuous improvement efforts utilizing Six Sigma and Lean tools.  Report project plans, progress, and results. Actively participate and maintain active professional affiliations (APICS, etc.).  Attend applicable training to support improved business practices and enhance career growth. Interacts with peers, managers, and senior management to develop consensus supporting planning strategies and projects.  Ensure implementation of best practices. Monitors EE&O materials including analyzing and initiating steps to minimize financial and/or operations impact of carrying excess, obsolete, and/or expired materials. Maintain internal systems to ensure compliance with quality standards (FDA, cGMP, QSR, ISO).  Implement corrective actions as assigned. Fosters a culture of compliance by operating within guidelines and procedures, leading by example, and focusing on risk assessment and elimination. Demonstrate adept use of SAP, Rapid Response, Power BI, etc. Reports summary performance to senior management and elevates appropriately. Maintains effective relationships with internal customers and/or sister plants.   What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in science/engineering/business required or equivalent level of education and work experience. 2-3 years of purchasing/production or planning experience.
