PURPOSE OF JOB Provide support to the Department of Materials, production and some other administrative tasks.
Manage and control processes with suppliers and purchase orders regarding Maintenance, Repairs and Operations (MRO´s) for Theragenics Costa Rica.
Besides, will create and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and will control its timely execution.
Some important facts (but not limited to) of the role is the ability to establish production priorities, anticipate and solve potential shorts and suggest projects of improvements for saving purposes.
RESPONSIBILITIES Set up suppliers in the ERP system of Theragenics Costa Rica.
Include suppliers in approved suppliers in QCBD.
Prepare and send purchase order to suppliers accordingly.
Monitor and control the purchase orders in the ERP system and deal with the suppliers if any discrepancy is found.
Open and close purchase orders when needed.
Coordinate the distribution or deliveries of materials and supplies.
Request quotes from suppliers regarding any Theragenics requirement in order to get the most competitive price.
Track supplier`s deliveries and prevent (or minimize) delays.
Support and solve problems related to purchases or discrepancies in supplier`s deliveries.
Monitor the inventory of MROs items.
Supervise (or generate if needed) and print Work Order for production purposes.
Supervise (or generate if needed) and print DHR`s for production purposes.
Supervise (or generate if needed) and print Work Order for engineering purposes.
Supervise (or generate if needed) and print DHR`s for engineering purposes.
Create and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) of Theragenics Costa Rica.
Communicate the detailed Master Production schedule (weekly/monthly) to the stakeholder departments. Control execution of the Master Production Schedule to meet customers' requirements in a timely manner. Develop recovery plans for materials in backorder.
Support and develop cost saving projects (as needed).
Support the quarterly physical inventory.
Perform other duties as required.
Maintain the purchasing of MRO`s and its inventory, as well as manage the Master Production Schedule and its execution for Theragenics Costa Rica. Supervise if needed to maintain a supplier database for Theragenics Costa Rica with the key contacts in sales and accounts Receivables representatives.
Manage, control and tracking of inventory of items purchased as MRO`s.
Supervise (or generate if needed) and print Work Order and DHR`s for production purposes.
Monitor purchase orders, delivered items and missing materials.
Create and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) of Theragenics Costa Rica.
Control execution of the Master Production Schedule to meet customers' requirements in a timely manner.
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION : Bachelor's degree in business admistration or engineering (required). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level is required.
EXPERIENCE : 2 - 4 years of experience as a Planner/Buyer on a regulated industry(required).
OTHER : Professional fluency in English is essential (B2+) both written and oral (required) POSITION SKILLS : Reasoning: Ability to follow detailed procedures with several potential variables.
Problem solving ability and interpretation of events required for practical matters.
Calculations: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and percentages; Statistical applications, report interpretation knowledge of various units of measure.
Language: Ability to read and understand product labels, policies, construction diagrams, safety instructions.
Talking: Ability to speak to vendors (suppliers) via telephone.
Ability to convey detailed messages.
Hearing: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication both in person and by the telephone.
Seeing: Read with precision reports and invoices.
