This position plays an integral part in developing and implementing sourcing strategies for the buyingdesk. Will be responsible for executing spot buys, sourcing events, and projects related activities for themultiple categories.Key Responsibilities- Execute one-time or low-complexity sourcing requests as part of the Procurement Excellence BuyDesk- Gather and analyze data using procurement spend analytics tools- Work with Market Intelligence team to research and identify potential suppliers for sourcingrequests.- Perform basic cost and scenario analysis to analyze supplier bids- Research potential vendors, develop and execute RFP for spend less than $1M per annum.- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation is translated to RFP andcontracts as appropriate.- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to inform sourcing strategy.- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing delivering with suppliers and record annualP&L savings.- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior sourcing generalists on category-specificrequirements.World leader in serving science**Requisitos**:CompetenciesFunctional & technical skills- Experience with sourcing process, vendor management, contract negotiations and procure to payoperations- Expertise in sourcing tools (e-sourcing, spend analytics, ERP, supplier management software)- Negotiation skills - will need to solicit bids and negotiate purchases directly with suppliers- Breadth of experience across Direct and Indirect Sourcing categoriesLeadership & Behavioral- Agility and flexibility to develop expertise across sourcing categories in areas complementary tothe existing team- Desire to grow and develop as a sourcing specialist and develop category expertise across Directportfolios (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Packaging or Chemicals)- Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment - self-starter who looks for ways to improve existingprocesses- Strong customer service orientation, keen to deliver on internal customer needs- Independent worker with ability to track and manage own deadlines- Ability to gather, interpret and analyze data to inform sourcing decisions.- Desire to mentor and coach junior team membersExperience & Qualification- 2+ years of procurement experience within Direct categories (e.g., Packaging, plastics)- Proven working experience as a buyer, senior buyer, purchasing specialist agent or officer.- Degree in supply chain management, operations or business administration (nice to have)- High level of English language competency (verbal and written)BeneficiosMonday to Friday
