**About the Business Intelligence Analyst Position**
The Business Intelligence Analyst (BI Analyst) works closely with business operators to
determine gaps in business insights, then uses a combination of SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Excel, and/or Power BI to put data insights in the hands of operators. Your solutions will result in data-driven business conversations and improved outcomes. **Business Intelligence Analyst responsibilities are**:
1. Data Collection & Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
- Deep dive into systems and processes to better understand the business side of the data and interconnectedness of various areas of the business
- Gather, compile, and cleanse data from various systems (system exports, SQL databases, etc.), ensuring data accuracy and completeness
2. Azure Data Factory (ADF) & SQL Data Flows
- Assist with maintaining existing Azure Data Factory (ADF) flows
- Write and optimize SQL queries and reporting views to extract and transform data needed for analysis and reporting
3. Reporting and Dashboard Development
- Create and maintain key metric reports in Excel, ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Develop interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards/reports that highlight the root cause and actionable insights
- Manage Power BI environment to ensure secure, efficient access to dashboards
4. Data Insights
- Collaborate with executive and operational teams on insights found through data analysis, leading data-driven conversations
- Translate complex data sets into understandable insights for decision-makers, making recommendations on actionable steps and strategic planning
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:
- 2+ years of experience with Power BI in medium or large-sized companies
- 2+ years of experience with SQL (strong querying skills, view creation, etc.)
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, formula writing (sumifs, countifs, lookup/index-match functions, etc.), and report creation
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory
- Self-motivated in leading and managing projects
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and regulations
- Experience in long-term healthcare a plus
**Service Fee**:Industry standard applicable to state depending on work of experience and level of expertise.
