**Job Title**: Business Excellence Engineer 1

**Main Purpose of Job**: (Brief Summary)
- Under the direction of the OpEx Manager or Senior OpEx Leader, the continuous improvement engineer is responsible for assisting the design, implementation and methodology to support manufacturing production and efficiencies. Analyze current manufacturing methods and practices, recommend, develop and prototype new processes and production methods to enhanced manufacturing Including standard times and BOMs analysis
Main Job Duties/Responsibilities (List most important first)
- Analyzing current manufacturing methods and practices in order to identify opportunities to eliminate non-value added steps; recommending, developing and prototyping new processes and production methods to enhance manufacturing. Discerning when and how to use Lean Manufacturing techniques: 6S, waste identification and elimination, value stream mapping, Kaizen, error proofing, one piece flow, set-up time reduction, Kanban, balanced work flow, etc.
- Recommend fixtures, tools and methods to meet productivity and specifications quality standards and to support Manufacturing processes, using Lean Manufacturing Tools.
- Support manufacturing engineer responsibilities in documentation changes, non-conformance product report and VIPs, using Lean Manufacturing Tools validations and others as required.
- Attend conferences, take course work and continuing education programs to maintain or improve knowledge and practices relevant to medical device manufacturing.
- Execute and monitor the implementation of continuous improvement projects.
- Update Standards times and BOMs
- Supporting the engineering and technical needs of the campus and customers (strategic and tactical, such as value improvement projects, new process / equipment, etc.).
- Providing team leadership support for process improvement projects involving quality, productivity and cost reductions for the VIP Goal
- Supporting product launches across the campus for the NPI department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Execute training focused on continuous improvement such as Boot camp, Viant Lean Training and root cause analysis.
- Implement and promote the 6s methodology in the company.
- Support OpEx competition program.
- Elaborate cost analysis to calculate the savings generated from VIP projects.
Knowledge / Education
- Minimum education required to perform duties: Bachelor degree in Engineering (i.e. Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or science related engineering discipline, etc.)
- Knowledge on Six sigma and Lean Tools
- Knowledge on ISO 13485:2003 y CFR 820 CGMPs
- Knowledge on the Mudas.
Additional Knowledge as a Plus
- Proficient in SolidWorks software is a plus.
- Proficient in Power Platforms is a plus.
- Proficient in simulate software is a plus.
Job Experience
- From 0 to 2 years experience in manufacturing environment.
- Experience within the medical manufacturing field is a plus.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks.
