Your Role and Responsibilities
- Configuration Management Database POC supporting ad hoc sessions for guidance, questions, creating KB articles and bringing back enhancements/bugs as epics/stories.
- ML/AI - Create end to end workflow to find potential owners on unknown CIs and create feedback to ML/AI to improve algorithm based on user approval/rejection.
- Support Integrations, validation, assist in CI matching issues, create new Database onboarding/decom process and cleaning service accounts related to those getting retired.
- Data Normalization (Operating Systems) and enabling Change Management to use Impact Analysis.
- CSDM expansion support - implementing Business Service, revisit Deployable Units to align to CSDM taxonomy. Coordinate and work closely with other cross-functional team members both on/offshore. Use case modelling and requirements traceability.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 6 years of ServiceNow experience in the areas of ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB)/CIs as a CMDB Business Analyst.
- Strong understanding of Configuration Management Database (CMDB) principles, concepts, and best practices. (Desing and implementation CMDB solutions).
- Perform data analysis to identify and resolve data inconsistencies, anomalies, and discrepancies in the CMDB.
- Assist in the development of CMDB documentation, including policies, procedures, and user guides.
- Advanced proficiency with user Agile story definition, acceptance criteria writing in addition to facilitating effective refinement sessions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior CMDB analysts and team members.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- ServiceNow Product Owner certification is strongly desired.
- Analyze and document business requirements related to Configuration Management Database (CMDB) processes, data, and integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define CMDB requirements, data standards, and data models.
- Knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, ITIL principles and IT asset management concepts is a plus.
- JIRA and Agile Experience.
