Trax Technologies provides cloud-based solutions and services to automate and manage freight invoice auditing and payment processing for buyers and sellers of logistics services. Position:
**Responsibilities**:
- Translate customer requirements into systematic rules to streamline and automate the accounting process.
- Identify and document business, user and software requirements and processes.
- Work with engineering development teams and business users to define requirements, perform analysis to design and implement maintainable solutions that meet the business requirements.
- Define and document software requirements for developers and participate in the technical evaluation of software modifications that will enhance operating and development activities.
- Prepare documentation, presentations, charts, tables, and diagrams; conduct reviews for scope, business justification, and requirements for deliverables including use cases, prototypes, and business rules as outlined in Functional Requirements, Requirements Traceability Matrix and User Acceptance Testing standard documents.
- Develop test plans and scripts, engage in testing designed solution to ensure the engineered solution appropriately matches technical specifications, while monitoring and reporting on the progress to the Project Manager. This includes identification and documentation of system deficiencies.
- Read and translate SQL and Trax custom expressions to convert logic and create process documentation. Write ad-hoc SQL queries to support migration activities.
- Deliver and manage requirements related to time and cost for projects; exhibit personal accountability to prioritize work to meet milestones and complete deliverables throughout project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of three years of business analysis or equivalent experience; preferably within a professional services firm or similar environment.
- Bachelor's degree - preferably in Accounting or Finance, Supply Chain or Analytics.
- Experience organizing information based on documentation analysis and interviews.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with evidentiary experience in leading groups through design sessions.
- In-depth understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into software and operational and technical requirements.
- Accounting and/or financial systems experience.
- Database (SQL, Oracle) experience required; must include ability to author and interpret query language and translation to expected outputs.
- Strong background in root cause analysis, research and problem-solving.
- Able to interpret large amounts of accounting data in various formats.
