Come be a part of this journey!****BAT Costa Rica IS LOOKING for a BANKING OPERATIONS TEAM LEADER**- **FUNCTION**: Finance- ** SUB FUNCTION**: Procure to pay- **SALARY RANGE**:Competitive Salary + Excellent benefits + market leading bonus- ** LOCATION**:Heredia, Costa Rica**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES****What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?**- Process the ad-hoc requirements related to BO process.- Execute the necessary KPI's follow during the month.- Ensures all BO processes and internal controls are followed.- Define, create, and analyse Banking Ops reports.- Review and adjust workload allocation to ensure timely processing of payments.- Coordinate month/quarter/year end activities to ensure completion of close activities on time.- Serve as escalation path to resolve Banking Ops issues.- Lead the team and be a key resource, directly overseeing a team member.- Meets with stakeholders, other departments personnel, addressing or complex accounts payable issues.- Provide support and help to EM and internal stakeholder on all accounts payable related topics.- Measure KPI's to assess team performance and report achievements or deficiencies to the BO process.- Maintain training and develop BO team.- Create and preform annual reviews of BO team members.**What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?****Reports to**Banking Operations Assistant Manager**Number of Direct Reports**5**Core Relationships**Internal - AP, End market - Request initiator, BCT, GTO, MD, Bank Recs and GBS - collaborate closely with other GBS'sExternal - Internal and External Auditors - On audit work, External banking service providers (global and local banks)**Geographic Scope**Americas**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**- Tasks processed within SLA agreed with end markets.- KPIs are met and differences are managed effectively.- Issues are escalated following escalation process.- Processes are adhered to RACM and Internal Controls.- Achieved a high degree customer satisfaction at year end.- Continuous Improvement initiatives and quantify benefits once implemented.- Trainings and development plans are reviewed constantly.- Review performance and people objectives twice a year to develop your business and leadership capabilities.**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE****Experience Required**- At least 2 years of experience in BO processes- Experience supervising and leading teams.- Problem solving and attention to details**Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required**- Medium/Advanced knowledge in transactional platforms (ERP, SAP).- MS Office - Medium/Advanced level.- MS PowerPoint - Medium level of knowledge.- Coordinate and plan activities by using time efficiently.- Prioritize and give visibility on the workload in a given time - any coordination to distribute tasks within the team must be reviewed with your team leader.- Capable of backing up any market within the team.- Understand responsibility and capable of making decisions.- Communicate with peers, managers and stakeholders effectively.- Escalate issues and provide possible solutions to your line manager.- Able to listen.- Communicates fluently and clearly with stakeholders.- Manage time and identify time constraints to be escalated for resolution.- Able to assess risks when not completing tasks accurately or out of time.- Analysis provided with accuracy and insights.- Aware of potential impacts on not completing tasks on time.- Negotiate and propose new deadlines aligned with expectations.- Understand internal and external customers' requirements.- Capable of communicating effectively with customers.- Maintain a proactive attitude.- Follow up and provide solutions to customers timely.- Advanced knowledge of processes.- Evaluate potential impacts in other areas and expose concerns to other before making decisions.- Understand GBS different functions and roles.- Develop and propose new ways of working to improve processes.- Own any issue identified, look for solutions and escalate to line manager when required.- Propose new ideas and constantly innovate in the current role.**Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required**- Technical Degree in accounting or finance background accounting or business administration- English B1-B2**BENEFICIAL**- Portuguese-Intermediate**WE ARE BAT**At BAT, we are committed to our Purpose of creating A Better Tomorrow.
