**Your Role and Responsibilities**
The IBM Security Verify (ISV) team is looking for an experienced Java developer responsible for building a secure and scalable SaaS solution.
Your primary focus will be end to end development of high quality and high performance micro-service solutions.
You will also have opportunities to collaborate and contribute to front-end development.
This is an opportunity to grow both technical and interpersonal skills, as well as to help bridge the gap between design, engineering, and offering management across multiple projects.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Contribute to end-to-end software development lifecycle by designing, developing, testing, and supporting new micro-service features
- Develop high quality, high-performance, and secure code capable of using micro-services based and CI/CD methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Architect, Product Management and developers to identify scenarios and dependencies as well as to establish components integration
- Generate user stories and software designs accordingly to Product Management requirements
**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- At least 2 years of Java development experience
- At least 1 year of experience Building RESTful APIs, working with Databases (e.g.
Postgres, CouchDB, Cloudant, Redis) and utilizing Docker
- Experience working with CI/CD processes, DevOps methodologies and tools such as Git and Jenkins
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with others to debug and solve problems/ability to demonstrate and explain complex designs in a simple to understand way
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies with the ability to break up requirements into more manageable tasks
**Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Experience with Messaging systems like RabbitMQ
- Experience with Kubernetes and Redhat OpenShift Container Platform
- Experience with common scripting languages (Python, JavaScript)
- Experience with NodeJS, Golang
- Experience with front-end development using REACT or Angular
- Experience with AWS and IBM Cloud would be a plus
