Role/Responsibilities

The Assistant Vice President for Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for leading a team of onshore analysts to produce P&L reporting for Moody's Analytics.
This newly created role will act as a key workflow manager for a team of 6 analysts and will support P&L reporting and ADHOC requests for 12 operating units.
The Assistant Vice President will also focus on driving process improvements and harmonization across the team, as well as providing support through all phases of the financial planning and analysis processes and projects.
Functional Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 6 onshore analysts in supporting the production of P&L reports and variance analysis against KPI's for 12 operating units within Moody's Analytics.
Act as the first point of review.
- Work closely with the relationship management team to communicate key expense variance drivers and support ADHOC requests.
Help consolidate and communicate the overall Moody's analytics expense story to cross functional teams and the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis.
- Lead, supervise and review the preparation of the monthly reports and variance analysis that will help identify key focus areas for management.
Work cross functionally with other offices and teams to produce these reports and outcomes, in a timely manner.
- Lead and review the input of budget and quarterly forecast information into Moody's planning systems, ensuring that all loads completed by the team are aligned with expectations.
- Lead, supervise and review the tracking of internal growth initiatives and support models to monitor the capital outlays.
- Manage the workflow across the team and create calendars to manage the timing of deliverables.
Take the lead on setting information deadlines with cross-functional teams in advance, to enable the team to meet these deliverables.
- Drive process improvements and standardization across the team.
This includes advocating for harmonization of templates and commentary.
- Lead, supervise and review special projects as assigned by Senior Finance management.
- Provide formal guidance and on the job training to all team members.
**Qualifications**:

- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other business discipline or progress toward equivalent accountancy qualification
- Graduate degree and/or relevant professional qualification a plus.
- 7+ years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis or a finance equivalent function.
Business intelligence tools, and data science experience is a plus.

- Highly motivated, participative as a change agent mentality that can provide financial leadership
