The Finance Digital Transformation team is at the forefront of business transformation, implementing technology solutions such as Robotic Process Automation, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. As we drive standardization, simplification, and productivity gains across the Finance function, we are seeking an Automation Process Engineer to drive this evolution.

The Automation Process engineer is responsible for providing most suited technological and process simplification solutions to drive business simplification, standardization & transformation. This individual will work collaboratively with all levels of business stakeholders to drive global initiatives and strategies for adopting Automation Capabilities (RPA, Process Mining, Smart OCR, Process re-engineering etc.) and lead the execution of automation solutions that optimize Finance function of AIG division.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Proactively engage with Finance SMEs to identify and define business problems that can be addressed through Automation.
- Analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable business process improvements through value stream mapping and re-engineering.
- Build the end-to-end process map across different functional processes. Understand the AS-IS processes, eliminate waste and redundancies within the AS-IS processes & then define a streamlined TO-BE process to enable the suitable automation solution.
- Manage backlog of automation opportunities and continue to look for opportunities that align with program objectives.
- Perform Cost Benefit Analysis to focus on the top critical processes that need to be automated through automation.
- Drive monthly operating rhythm to review funneled projects with the Automation Governance Council, prioritize automation projects based on cost benefit analysis and hand-over for development.
- Identify repetitive manual tasks & justify the value through automation. Focus on driving the productivity improvements at a micro-process level & to give through diverse automation methods.
- Define agile execution methodologies and project management practices to be followed by all projects within the program.
- Collect core functional/business requirements and work with Solution Architects and developers to complete accurate completion of Automation projects.
- Ensure requirements are documented, traceable, and testable through to implementation.
- Promote Automation by working across functional groups to educate and promote the capabilities and efficiencies that can be achieved through automation.
- Organize project teams comprising from internal and external technical and functional experts based on budget, scope, and timeline.
- Manage daily execution of multiple interdependent projects by working directly with global technical teams.
- Coordinate execution across multiple projects and drive shared approach and outcomes tracking
- Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and operational teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required
- Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project
- Manage customer communication and progress reporting at different levels of the organization including leadership and executives
- Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching customer expectations
**Education**
Bachelor's degree in information systems / finance or any other relevant field
**Experience**
- 2+ years of hands-on experience on RPA tools and cognitive platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, Process mining etc. UiPath experience is needed.
- 1 - 3 years of Finance and Accounting domain is preferrable.
- Experience with Scrum /Agile development methodologies. JIRA is a plus.
- 2-3 years' experience leading and handling project teams is preferable.
- Experience with business analytics software, Microsoft Power Suite, or other finance automation software a plus.
- Experience with Workflow tools, Workiva, Dodeca and various Blackline modules; development and implementation is a plus.
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Fluency of the English language (verbal and written)
- Ability to quickly learn and analyze the requirement, terms and propose a viable solution
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification and/or related business process excellence trainings are a plus
- Advanced Excel is a must.
