Job Purpose:
The Automation Engineer I is responsible for ensuring the safety, financial, and technical success of
projects and work assignments related to the support, service, maintenance, and upgrading of
NorthWind's product offerings.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend NorthWind in-house training
- Design and review electrical drawings
- Perform customer training for proper operation of control systems
- Field assessments of current electrical systems
- Interface with customer and electricians
- Interpret design for customers and electricians
- Update field drawings using E-plan
- Answer customer phone calls
- Write customer and field service reports
- Create manuals and perform manual translations from English to Spanish and vice versa
- Trouble shoot electrical and control system problems remotely
- Configure HMI Computer(s)/Operator interface
- Configure HMI graphics
- Markup electrical drawings with field changes

- Fluent use of MS Word; Excel; PowerPoint; GroupWise; EPLAN; EPlan; RSLOGIX 5000;
RSView; Microsoft Visual Basic

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or master's degree - Electrical Engineering
- Fluent Spanish and English Language skills
