**Job Title**: Attorney ** Location**: San Jose, CA 95125 or San Francisco, CA 94105 (hybrid - 3 days onsite)**Duration**: 10 months**Contract Type**: W2 only**Pay Rate**: $70.00 - $78.57/Hour**Functions**:- The purpose of the role is to support the financial services integration of a recently acquired company.**Responsibilities may entail**:- reviewing and modifying policies, procedures, and user-facing agreements; supporting the creation of new policies; coordination with audit personnel on audits; collaboration with tax and business teams regarding tax withholding issues; and facilitating the implementation of an escheatment policy.**Qualifications**:- US-licensed attorney with at least 7 years of legal experience, including 3 years of experience in the financial services regulatory space.- Experience with state laws on advances, lending, loan brokering, and/or money transmission a plus.- Familiarity with consignment, auction, and marketplaces business models is also desirable.
