Join Ecolab as an **Associate Regulatory Specialist**.

This position is primarily responsible for classifing chemicals and equipment according to the harmonized tariff nomenclature. In addition, assign global trade regulations to products, such as U.S. export control classification number, dual use, drug precursor and Chemical Weapons Convention classifications.You will also be expected to support the Free Trade Agreements program - perform Free Trade qualifications and provide suggestions for cost saving opportunities. Write and maintain procedures and system controls to comply with import and export regulations; among other tasks, the following are detailed below.

**What You Will Do**:

- Classify chemical and equipment products according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedul
- Assign global trade regulations to products such as US Export Control Classification Number, Dual Use, Drug Precursor, and Chemical Weapons Convention Classifications
- Support Free Trade Agreements program - perform qualifications for Free Trade and provide suggestions for cost savings opportunitiesWrite and maintain procedures and system controls to comply with import and export regulations
- Coordinate, prepare, submit, and secure all necessary paperwork for regulatory permits, licenses, and registrations (DEA, BIS, etc)
- Support R&D requests for shipping samples outside of the standard ERP system, to ensure compliance with export regulations
- Support new product introduction requests
- Provide reporting information to government agencies (chemical weapons reporting) and 3rd party providers (freight forwarders and brokers)
- Run compliance reports from ERP system; update ERP systems to ensure master data is current
- Provide KPI's and monthly metrics regarding number of requests and turnaround time
- Assist with equipment and digital project work and assist in preparing training pertaining to the Global Trade Compliance Program
- Support BIS classification requests and data collection for requests and/or advisory opinions

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- 1-5 years of previous experience within Global Trade and/or Regulatory Affairs field
- Good problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with excel, VBA code, and SAP
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- B2 English level or higher
