As an Associate at Moody's Local you will play a key role helping to enhance and develop new methodologies, scorecard and tools used by Moody's Local Rating Analysts to assign ratings and supporting the monitoring of ratings in all Moody's Local different offices. This position is open to work in Heredia, Buenos Aires and Mexico City.- **Key Responsiblities**- Help the Credit Standards team to improve and develop quantitative credit rating models and methodologies used by Moody's Local credit rating analysts to assign ratings.- Support the Credit Standards team to prepare materials for portfolio and methodologies reviews, analyzing data, preparing charts, updating or running financial models, or gathering other analytical information.- Assist in analytical projects to improve consistency and quality of Moody's Local credit analysis and rating methodologies.- Help to manage commitments and deliverables of the working group.- Develop a deep knowledge of Moody's Local methodologies to support Moody's Local analytical teams and the Credit Standards team.- Develop a deep understanding of complex financial models and analytical databases, as aplicable to each rating group.LI-HybridLI-RA**Qualifications**:**Education Requirements****- CFA certification or preparation will be considered a plus**Languages**:- Strong communication skills - able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and written in writing in Spanish and English.- Portuguese is a plus.**Skills and Experience**:- One or more years of experience with credit/risk assessment experience gained from a rating agency, financial institutions, asset management, regulator or public accounting firm, or proven equivalent.- Structured Finance knowledge will be considered a plus.- Experience handling databases, time series and panel data econometrics.- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Excel and intermediate knowledge of Python (NumPy, pandas, matplotlib) is a must.- Knowledge of R, Matlab, SQL, Power BI, and VBA is not required, but is considered an asset.- Proven strong quantitative and analytical skills.- Highly organized and efficient, with the ability to multi-task and to meet tight deadlines.- Ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders and build strong relationships.Moody's is an equal opportunity employer.
