Job Purpose: In this role, you will provide counsel to corporate management on legal matters For Central America Countries (Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama and Dominican Republic) in alignment with the Legal Head of the Department of two business units (Express and DGF). As a Associate Legal Counsel helps Legal Head to ensure that business practices, policies, and dealings of DHL meet regulatory requirements to protect the organization. Researches, interprets, and prepares legal and business communication documents and contracts. Prepares and maintains official records, notices, and actions as required by international, federal, state, and local jurisdictions and by other regulatory authorities. Prepares monthly reports. Is responsible as well for Corporate Housekeeping. Your tasks: * Contract Analyst: The primary function will be negotiate and draft customer, supplier, and leasing agreements, including NDA's, LOI's, subcontract agreements, and marketing agreements.
* Liaising with sales and operations teams on customer agreements.
* Researches, interprets, and prepares legal documents. * Management of external Legal counsels and coordination of administrative and judiciary proceedings in which the company participates.
* Maintains official records, notices and actions as required by each local jurisdictions. * Anticipates and guards against legal risk involving the company. * Provide general duties including updating contract database.
* Assists in the management of Corporate Records. * Research, draft memorandum, and prepare requested briefings and findings to Sr. Counsel/ Managers.
* Advise on aspects of law and regulation applicable to the business unit.
