Role/Responsibilities
- As a financial engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining software for the predictive analytics group.
You will work with other financial engineers, software engineers, and economists to improve existing software products, test software, and answer client questions.
- ** Specific responsibilities include**:
- Write, debug, and test software written in R, Python and C++
- Write efficient code and help transition research ideas into products deployed on AWS
- Make continuous improvements to software, products, and processes
**Qualifications**:
- Master's degree in financial engineering or related field
- Must be able to understand complex mathematical and financial problems and write code to implement research ideas
- Experience with programming in R is a must.
Exposure to R API function (plumber), Spark (SparkR or sparklyr) and package management is a plus.
- Experience with cloud computing environment and managed services in AWS or other cloud provider is a must.
- Experience with programming in SQL, Python, and C++ is a plus
- Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to quickly learn new technologies and concepts
- Knowledge of Linux a plus
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) and, if hired, present proof of vaccination on start date, as determined by Moody's.For San Francisco positions, qualified applicants with criminal histories will be considered for employment consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.

- For Colorado-based roles only: the anticipated base salary range for this position is $109,200 to $158,250, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
This range is based on a full-time position.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual performance incentive compensation.
