This role involves ensuring that all invoices are accurately recorded and paid in a timely manner.
In this role you will be required to demonstrate an autonomous approach and independence in terms of comprehensive process management, responsibility for assigned tasks and problem solving.The impact you will make in this roleInvoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices and payment requests.
Ensure that all invoices are coded correctly and have the necessary approvals.Vendor Relationship: Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, answer inquiries, proactively address issues and maintain positive relationships.Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.Month-End Closing: Assist with month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts and preparing reports.Reporting: Generate and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports, to provide insights to management.Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Stay updated on relevant regulations and best practices.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.Performance: Achievement of all the established goals both individual as well as whole department ones according to the SLAs and/or operational metrics.
Support: Demonstrate problem ownership and task coordination skills in day-to-day work.
Provide support to other departments regarding payment-related inquiries and issues.Perform other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.Experience: 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role.Advanced language as required (English and/or Portuguese)Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.SAP, Oracle, S2K or any other ERP ExperienceAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports.Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.Supporting Your Well-being 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
