The Analytic Data Manager key responsibility is leading and managing a diverse team of Associates supporting the Corporate Finance Group (CFG) and Project and Infrastructure Finance - Ratings & Research Support (RRS) functions.
As a manager, this person will assign the workload to provide critical financial and operational data for ratings and research within the agreed upon timeframes and data quality.
Leading their team on operational projects key to supporting Moody's ratings and research is crucial.
In addition, attracting, hiring, developing, empowering and retaining skilled junior analytical staff will be under their scope.

This position has a crucial role in encouraging relationships with our partners in R&R and RRS.
The Manager will also need to have a diverse ability to lead the operations and engage and collaborate with other teams in Moody's such as Moody's Analytics, Moody's Information Technology (MIT), Human Resources (HR), Compliance, Business Planning and others.
What does the Analytic Data Manager do?
Operational management of the team including:

- Liaise with R&R and RRS to understand priorities
- Lead team's workflow allocation and resource plan by re-balancing portfolios across deliverables and projects
- Collaborate with business partners supporting the operations (peers and other global managers, etc.)
to use resources efficiently for delivery of data
- Lead and develop Senior Associates, Associate, and Interns by recruiting and retaining top talent
- Collaborate with HR talent advisers to source diverse talent
- Ensure complete training; continually improve training curriculum
- Provide ongoing formal and informal feedback to ensure development of team members
- Lead projects and processes critical to ratings and research
- Create and ensure maintenance of high-quality data standards according to accuracy and process agreements
- Recommend and implement operational improvements, including QC processes
- Build and lead project plans with clear achievements, deadlines and communication plan

Handle relationships with key partners
- Support initiatives, address questions, manage training, and onboarding
- Work closely with IT to solve and improve technology and databases
- Academic Background
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- MBA, CFA, or other advanced degree is desirable

Languages
- Advanced written and verbal command of English is required
- Any additional language will be considered a plus

Experience and Skills
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience in operations, finance, accounting, financial statement analysis or economics
- 2+ years of experience leading teams
- Ample experience working with financial data/statement analysis
- Ability to prioritize, focus and work independently, and to adapt when the unexpected occurs
- Excellent communicational, organizational, and administrative skills
- Must be results oriented and have strong problem-solving skills
- Skills to work independently and to interact effectively with senior management
- Strong communication and relationship-management skills
- Basic operational and/or process knowledge and capacity planning
- Experience structuring and organizing projects with successful implementation and project management
- Computer literate with a solid experience in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- SharePoint and/or BI tools is desirable
