Responsibilities for Agile Project Manager
- Coach team members to understand Scrum and the Agile Principles
- Work with senior management and executives to determine priorities and resource allocation
- Dedicated to the agile transformation of the organization, leading other Agile Project Managers, recommending and implementing improved practices and educating (coaching) the team and leadership as needed
- Supports Product Owner to develop product roadmap, release plan and drive solution delivery to meet the product vision with focus on delivering business value
- Supports Product Owner ensuring the product backlog is properly groomed - prioritizing and refining user stories for acceptance criteria in JIRA Agile to be ready for the upcoming 1-2 sprints
- Fosters collaboration and cross functional communication allowing teams to self-organize
- Works with team to ensure quality is included in the Definition of Done and considered during all levels of planning to support an automated test suite
- Facilitates discussions, decision making and conflict resolution - removing impediments to successful delivery
- Enforces the values and principles of Agile by focusing on continuous learning and feedback loops
- Presents reports defining project progress, problems and solutions developing a culture of transparency and trust
Qualifications for Agile Project Manager
- Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using Agile Project Management tools such as Jira
- Helping to present and support Agile education and training activities as required
- Ability to mentor at the individual, team and project level
- At least 5 years experience in Agile Project Management / ScrumMaster / Iteration Manager roles
- Defining responsibilities of all stakeholders
- Reporting progress and raising all issues
Qualifications regarding past Agile Scrum Master experience:
- Thorough experience in the sprint ceremonies to coach, guide, and support other team members
- Well-versed with key agile methodologies
- Gained the confidence of your cross functional project/scrum teams and broader stakeholders by taking ownership resolving impediments
- Industry background is not specific while a proven track record working in a scrum framework is required
- At least 4 years in IT Application Delivery
- Knowledge of numerous supporting Agile techniques
