First Factory is looking for an Agile Program Specialist to join our team.
This position will have a passion for agility with excitement to level up their skills to help our organization adopt agile working methods. You will facilitate the learning and growth of cross-functional teams in developing an Agile/Scrum mindset, continuously improving practices in their context, and guiding teams and leaders to enable the effective flow of delivery across the end-to-end value stream.
As a servant leader, the Agile Program Specialist plays a key role in planning, facilitating, and supporting teams, removing impediments, and providing team coaching and mentorship. You must have a passion to continuously learn new practices and techniques that improve the organizational Scrum implementation
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Guide the scrum team(s) and organization to follow generally accepted Agile/Scrum practices and daily activities to promote prioritization, team readiness, and commitment for each Sprint
- Coach development teams to higher scrum maturity
- Assist in facilitating meetings with the team for idea generation, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives,problem-solving, and alignment
- Encourage a continuous improvement culture, constantly discovering better ways of working, through transparency, collaboration, and retrospectives
- Participate in agile transformation and implementation-related operational tasks
- Assist and mentor Product Owners/Managers in crafting epics and stories
- Maintains and reports team performance metrics; communicates projects' transformation progress via weekly updates to management, highlighting successes, risks, areas of improvement, and suggested resolutions
- Participate as a thought leader in Agile and contribute to workshops, documentation, training materials, and authoring any similar literature that furthers our mission
- Foster a positive relationship between lines of business and resources supporting Agile Transformation; Evangelize the need for top-down support for agile culture and values to achieve maximum results from the use of agile practices
- Actively participate and contribute to an Agile Community of Practice
- Knowledge of Agile and Lean principles and practices
- Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (such as the definition of done, user stories, automated testing, and backlog refinement)
- Strong communication (both verbal and written), interpersonal and mentoring skills
- Prior experience leading through influence
- Ability to work with and lead a team
- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); Experience developing/managing digital capabilities preferred
- Experience working with multiple teams is desired
- Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Eager to learn
