This means we can be highly flexible in our approach to supply chain management, and very effective at finding the best route and pricing options.**Job Description**:The Accounting Supervisor responsibilities include month end activities and ensure proper review of account balances for Expeditors, preparation, and review of monthly, quarterly, and annually reports and schedules. This position will support the management in all aspects of financial accounting, reporting systems, procedures, and policies. On the audit front, this position will manage department's response to internal and external audit requirements and will ensure compliance with SOX requirements. This position will also play an important role in promoting systems/process development within department to ensure ongoing efficiency and control improvements.**Key Responsibilities**:- Oversee the day to day Accounting operations including A/P, GL, Capital Expenditure, Revenue Recognition and Taxes.- Performing month end activities that include closing of sub ledgers, general ledger account reconciliations, reporting and balance sheet account analysis- Prepare and submit tax returns and any other information to statutory authorities for Payroll, VAT and Corporation Tax.- Ensure appropriate financial policies, procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and operating as intended- Provide support on the Internal Control Evaluations and Internal/External Audits.- Maintain a good relationship and communicate frequently with Operation, to ensure timely and accurate processing for accounting transactions- Generate ad hoc reports and metrics and KPI to ensure department's goals are being achieved.- Continually provide coaching and training to the team members- Build and monitor performance metrics, with principal focus on ensuring timely delivery of month end reports, reconciliations and other deliverables- Review department goals and personal plans periodically with staff to ensure buy-in and accountability- Ensure compliance with company internal controls, specifically the Financial Process Control Documentation.- Proactively communicate with the team to ensure continuous awareness and understanding of policies and regulations.- Drive process improvements required to enhance controls and quality of reconciliations and related processes**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance- 4+ years of proven Accounting and Finance experience (preferable in the Global Logistics Industry)- US GAAP experience (highly desirable).- High level of tax and regulatory knowledge.- Strong accounting skills- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables- Advanced English Skills- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate with peers and direct reports- Experience in account receivable / order to cash (Desirable)- Proven leadership attitude and skills- Ability to drive through changeAdditional Information**Behaviors**:- Emotional resilience- Self-reflecting and open to feedback- Initiative and ability to work in autonomy- Role model of integrity and pride for all employees- Proven leadership attitude and background- Professional appearance and attitude- Reliable and accurate- Being supportive of change- Taking initiative and working in autonomy- Being an advocate of Expeditors culture at all times- Being approachable and proactive**Reporting Structure**:- Country Controller
