**Accounting Analyst**

Join our team! We are looking for an Accounting Analyst to join Thomson Reuters Latin America General Accounting Operations (AO) located in San Jose (Heredia), Costa Rica.
**About the Role**:
In this opportunity as an **Accounting Analyst**, you will:
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
- Open items follow-up and escalation with various departments.
- Perform month-end close responsibilities with a complete understanding of the close process and the financial framework within an SAP environment to achieve complete, accurate and compliant financial statements.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with partnering organizations by providing regular and frequent communications.
- Assist in monthly financial reporting; prepare analysis of accounts as requested.
- Assist in projects on process improvements as needed.

**About You**
You're a fit for the role if your background includes:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required, OR equivalent qualification OR significant development after specialized vocational training OR substantial professional development after High School Degree.
- 1- 2 years of professional accounting experience with multi-national companies in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and month-end close activities.
- Knowledge of common accounting procedures.
- Effective written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a competence in presenting in a professional and influential manner.
- Attention to fine detail and demonstrate high-level of accuracy.
- Enterprise resource planning ERP software — for example, SAP, Oracle, BEx, BlackLine.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- Portuguese preferred but not required.
