Telecomunications Egineer (Avaya/CISCO)

This position is for a UC engineer that will carry out design and implementation activities on customer Unified Communication systems. The candidate should be experienced in UC technologies such as PBX, ACD, gateways, conferencing, voice mail, hard / soft endpoints and supporting protocols and configuration. Knowledge and experience in VoIP and SIP implementation is required. Experience with Avaya Communication Manager and Aura suite would be advantageous.

• Remote configuration, administration, monitoring and troubleshooting of UC systems including voice gateways, conferencing and voice mail solutions.
• Identify and resolve complex network problems utilizing structured troubleshooting, methods and tools.
• Undertake dial plan and voice network management remote audits
• Remote configuration, support, and troubleshooting of existing Avaya contact center enterprise applications and solutions in both VoIP and TDM technology environments.
• Support ACD configurations including local and remote location routing
• Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers as communicated by business partner staff and the realities of commercially available IT products and creating requirements that will allow implementation by the architecture and engineering team.
