Smartsheet is looking for an Technology Asset Manager with a technical background combined with strong understanding of technology asset management processes and procedures. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology and will help Smartsheet manage and optimize its Software Assets more effectively for our Costa Rica office.

This position reports to our Manager, Technology Asset Management and is based at our Costa Rica office in San Jose.
**You Will**:
- Perform daily management of IT software/hardware related tickets / requests in our asset management system & SaaS solution.
- Maintain and manage Internal Software catalog within Service Request Portal.
- Manage and process Software Renewals on a regular basis, utilizing and maintaining the software renewal calendar.
- Communicate and partner with Corporate A/P and Procurement teams regarding Renewals, POs, and invoice process for all Software purchases.
- Work with vendors to identify and negotiate pricing and availability, resolve discrepancies, expedite orders, and maintain ongoing relations.
- Work in conjunction with IT and suppliers to identify new software products and changes to existing products to be sourced.
- Maintain software license compliance and positions throughout each software lifecycle including deploy, manage, harvest, retire.
- Partner with all departments to ensure Software for new employees and exiting employees are coordinated, assigned & licensed.
- Generate and distribute various reports, including software compliance reports and perform trend analysis reports.
- Execute and maintain documentation of procedures, processes, and reports concerning software management/ licensing issues and adhere to audit standards.
- Take part in other ITSM processes or as required, perform as a backup to maintain operational activities.
- Transmit Software & Hardware purchase orders to vendors and confirm that orders are tracked and have been received on the necessary timeline.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure current service and hardware offerings are up to date with departmental needs.
- Assist with management of IT Assets in the CMDB.
**You Have**:
- 4+ years experience working with a CMDB, Asset Management database
- 4+ years of ITSM tool experience (ServiceNow, BMC, Freshservice)
- Strong knowledge of IT Software & Hardware
- Understanding of ITIL & ITAM methodology
- Strong vendor management and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes
- Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with mínimal supervision
- Excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without error
- IAITAM Certification, such as CSAM, CHAMP and CITAM
- Fluent in the English language
- Ability to work from the CR office in San Jose, at least 2 days a week
