**Position Summary**:
Administers and executes the complete payroll process for all levels and its related information systems. The employee must conduct their work activities in compliance with all Thermo Fisher internal requirements and with all applicable regulatory requirements (labor law, ethics, environmental health and safety, financial, human resources, and general business policies, requirements and objectives).
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Performs bi-monthly payroll process for non-exempt and exempt employees.
- Payroll Processing: Execute the end-to-end payroll processing cycle, including but not limited to calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions accurately. Ensure adherence to established payroll schedules and deadlines.
- Data Analysis: Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies, errors, and anomalies. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate payroll calculations and payments.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and tax withholdings. Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data at all times
- Manages the HR information systems: Softland-Exactus performing changes and maintaining up to date the master data also Workday System.
- Compliance: Stay updated on relevant local payroll regulations and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Implement changes in payroll policies and procedures as necessary to comply with legal requirements.
- Reporting: Prepare and generate payroll reports for local entities (CCSS, INS and treasury) and management review, including but not limited to payroll summaries, tax filings, and employee earnings statements. Provide insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Assist with payroll audits.
- Drive continuous improvement mindset by challenging existing processes, providing innovative solutions, leveraging KPIs and best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ability to work multiple simultaneous projects and maintain flexibility and control in the management of change while ensuring payrolls are processed within timeframes.
- Communication: Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries from employees, managers, and external stakeholders. Communicate effectively with all relevant parties to address concerns and provide assistance as needed.
**Minimum Education, and Experience and Skills Required**:
- Bachelor' s degree in business administration (Accounting, Finance or Human Resources).
- English level C1.
- 5 years of related experience in payroll.
- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
- 2+ years of experience with ADP payroll processing
- Knowledge and understanding of labor law.
