**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**
Wind River Systems is seeking an experienced high-performing DevSecOps Engineer for a position developing a cloud-based platform.
In a company with significant growth and the leader in both cloud native and embedded platforms, you will be part of a team developing high-value features for external customers and internal engineering teams. You will work with a variety of tools, cloud providers, and products to ensure the delivery of high-quality code.
**ABOUT YOU**
**Responsibilities**:
- Handle work priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate and define activities of other engineers in the team
- Interact with other teams in different areas such as architects, technical leads from other functional teams, support teams, product team representatives, and Integration/Release teams.
- Work with the QA/Test Team to ensure correct verification and validation of the deliverables
**Required**:
- 5-8 years working in software development
- BSEE/BSCS or equivalent experience
- Strong experience with microservices architecture, implementation and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong experience with SQL, NoSQL, Redis, Streaming Platform (like Kafka), Secret Manager(like Vaults), Database design, and DB migrations
- Strong experience with Git workflows
- Strong experience with IaC like Terraform and Helm Charts
- Experience with Python, Linux shell scripting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.
- Continuous learning mindset with a passion for staying updated on the latest security trends and technologies.
- Effective and flexible communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
**Preferred**:
- Experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Tekton and ArgoCD
- Experience with Jira as a user
- In-depth understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated security controls.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP).
