First Factory is looking for a Jira Administrator to join our team.
The Jira Administrator is responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing the Jira platform within an organization. Jira is a popular project management and issue-tracking software used to facilitate collaboration and streamline workflow processes. The Jira Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning and customization of Jira to meet the unique needs of the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
Jira System Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain the Jira software, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and work to resolve any problems that may arise.
User Management:
- Create and manage user accounts, groups, and permissions within Jira.
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their requirements and grant appropriate access levels to users.
Customization and Configuration:
- Customize Jira workflows, screens, fields, and issue types to align with the organization's unique processes and requirements.
- Set up and manage custom Jira schemes and configurations to enhance usability and efficiency.
- Create and maintain project templates to standardize workflow across different projects.
Integration and Automation:
- Develop and maintain automation rules and scripts using Jira's built-in features or third-party plugins to streamline processes and improve productivity.
Issue and Project Management:
- Provide support to teams in utilizing Jira for effective project and issue management.
- Help teams create and manage sprints, backlogs, and boards for agile project management.
- Facilitate the setup and management of project-specific dashboards and reporting.
Training and Support:
- Conduct training sessions for users and teams to promote Jira best practices and ensure efficient utilization of the platform.
- Offer ongoing support and assistance to users, addressing their queries and troubleshooting issues.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure that Jira is configured and maintained in compliance with the organization's security policies and industry regulations
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and information within Jira.
- At least 2 years of experience working with Jira
- Proven experience as a Jira Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Jira administration, customization, and configuration
- Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and practices
- Proficiency in scripting languages and automation techniques for Jira (e.g., Jira Query Language, Groovy, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and users
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy and integrity
- Certifications in Jira Administration or related areas would be advantageous
