Job Description The Worldwide Partner Sales and Activation Team is responsible for exceeding partner created revenue targets, accelerating partner services capability and capacity, increasing advanced technology deployments, and building top talent in globally aligned partner roles.

Reporting to the Ignite Activation Manager, this role will drive worldwide execution of VMware's Ignite Practice Development framework to accelerate partners ability to sell and deploy VMware's priority solutions. The Ignite Activation Manager will lead partners through a proven milestone-based development approach that includes VMware supported marketing, sales and technical development.

The ideal candidate is results and detail oriented, collaborative, assertive, organized and is committed to delivering impactful outcomes in a team environment. This role will collaborate with Worldwide and GEO cross-functional teams and interact directly with partners.

Responsibilities:

- Manage communications and reporting to partners and their account managers via phone and email to successfully resolve their queries
- Guide partners thru VMware's Practice Development process
- Support the execution of all aspects of VMware's Practice Development framework
- Receive and troubleshoot escalations from Partners for Internal resolution at VMware
- Engage with VMware internal teams to ensure adherence to Practice Development process
- Executes timely field and Partner support of operational elements key to initiative success
- Supports multiple initiatives at a time across multiple solution areas and GEOs
- Work with stakeholders to proactively identify risks and manage any potential project challenge
- Contribute to development and maintenance of standards, processes, and best practices
- Manage and maintain the asset and collateral library to standards, processes, and best practices
- Execute internal PMO processes, quality assurance and time management activities are followed (e.g., change controls, capacity records)
- Content preparation and delivery of partner facing initiative Webinars
- Driving weekly meeting cadence with initiative Stakeholders around the world

Skills/Requirements:

- B.S./M.S. degree in Business or Engineering
- At least 5 years' experience in a project management role in projects for internal & external customers
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to interact and communicate with Executive level personnel and external customers
- Exposure or previous experience sales strategy or sales operations projects
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to deliver high-quality deliverables
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage competing client demands
- Ability to work within a team and provide the leadership for the project
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Use of formal project management tools (e.g., SmartSheet, Wrike, MS-Project, etc.)
- Use of formal enterprise collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, etc.)
- Ability to travel up to 15% percent of the time
- Advanced Excel Skills

Preferred Skills:

- Experience building MS Excel Macros preferred
- Portuguese as a third language
- Report building experience preferred
- Experience in building SQL queries preferred
- PMP certification preferred
