The Direct Tax & Stats Analyst (6 months contract), is responsible for ensure tax compliance in LATAM, achieve successful KPI's, assist in tax planning initiatives, mitigate tax risks, monitor changes in the legislation and calculate its impacts.

The Tax Analyst will be specifically responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of tax returns and payments, calculations of periodic tax provisions and assisting in areas such as tax audits and financial audits. The individual will drive trust, efficiency and the communication of information within the LATAM Tax team located at the shared service center in Costa Rica, as well as to the Controllership organization and business partners in order to facilitate collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
- Meeting tax compliance deadlines for payments and assisting in preparing and reviewing tax return work-papers and tax returns.
- Execute and review complex Income Tax requirements to determine deductions or addbacks for the Corporate Income Tax.
- Provide statutory accounting analysis for tax purposes (Financial Statements).
- Monitor the balance sheet reconciliation.
- Assist the LATAM tax team in the preparation of annual tax reporting.
- Review and upkeep of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for law updates, fiscal process changes, and the inclusion of special situations or scenarios.
- Analyze changes in the local legislation and map the impacts for the company; Liaise with external advisors and auditors.
- Support in data gathering and preparation of responses to tax audits and notices as required.
- Guarantee accurate and quality information for tax compliance purposes on data analysis extracted from the ERP.
- Performing annual plans to reach all tax and statutory deliverables over the year as well as check points definition through-out the processes.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration (finance) or accounting
- 3+ years of experience working on tax, and statutory accounting processes.
- Previous experience in a shared service center environment and/or a Big 4 is a plus.
- Previous experience using SAP and Power BI is a plus
- Strong knowledge in tax topics for LATAM markets (Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru preferable).
- Advanced English Level.
- Knowledge in computer packages: MS Office (Intermediate) / Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
- Demonstrated experience in tax and accounting processes as well as financial statement analysis skills.
- Strong stakeholder, planning and people management skills.
- Problem solving skills / strong communication with key stakeholders.
