**Responsibilities**
The Data Engineer will hold a pivotal role within our Automation team, dedicated to the meticulous management of data collection, integration, and data pipeline construction. This position is essential for ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and availability for analytical, classification and data interoperability.
**Essential Duties**
- ** Data Collection and Integration**: Collaborate closely with system administrators and data source owners to establish efficient processes for collecting, aggregating, and integrating data from various sources and systems.
- ** Data Preparation and Cleaning**: Implement data cleaning and transformation techniques to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Address data anomalies, inconsistencies, and duplications as part of the data preparation process.
- ** Data Pipeline Construction**: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines to automate the movement and transformation of data. Ensure data flows smoothly from source to destination, adhering to best practices for data pipeline construction.
- ** Data Quality Assurance**: Establish and enforce data quality standards and procedures. Continuously monitor data quality and proactively identify and rectify data quality issues.
- ** Scalability and Performance**: Optimize data processing pipelines and infrastructure for scalability and performance. Ensure that data operations can handle increasing volumes of data efficiently.
- ** Collaboration with Data Scientists and ML Engineers (3rd parties)**: Work closely with internal data scientists and external machine learning engineers to provide them with clean, well-structured data for model development and tuning.
- ** Security and Compliance**: Implement security measures and data governance practices to safeguard sensitive data. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.
- ** Monitoring and Troubleshooting**: Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively identify and resolve data pipeline issues. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related incidents in a timely manner.

**Calificaciones**:
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data cleansing, and data transformation.
- Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R, Spark).
- Strong understanding of data quality principles and data cleansing techniques.
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet project deadlines.
