**Job Summary**
This position plays an integral part in developing and implementing sourcing strategies. Will be responsible for executing spot buys, sourcing events, and projects related activities for the multiple categories.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead strategic and tactical sourcing activities with spend up to $10M
- Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms for assigned spend categories
- Research potential vendors, develop and execute RFP for spend between $100-$10 M
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation is translated to RFP and contracts as appropriate
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to inform sourcing decisions
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing delivering and record annual P&L savings
- Support projects assigned for various sourcing activities
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
**Competencies**
**Functional & technical skills**
- Sourcing expert - strong experience with sourcing process, supplier management, contract negotiations and procure to pay operations
- Experience with ERP systems, spend analytics, eSourcing, and contract management systems required
- Excellent category-specific sourcing and category management skills in key portfolios of spend in Direct (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Packaging or Chemicals)
- Expert understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes and strategies
- Experience negotiating agreements/contracts with suppliers
- Understanding of procurement processes, tools, and best practices

- Agility and flexibility to develop expertise across sourcing categories in areas complementary to the existing team
- Desire to grow and develop as a sourcing specialist and develop category expertise across Direct categories (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, electromechanical)

**Experience & Qualification**
- Proven working experience as purchasing manager, agent, or officer
- 2+ years of purchasing experience/negotiations
- Degree in business administration, engineering, supply chain management, or related field.
